Driving in the SNOW

Where there's SNOW, drive slow !
1) Prepare your vehicle for winter driving by ck'ing antifreeze, battery, tires & windshield wiper fluids.  Make sure headlights, taillights & emergency flashers are working
2) Always remove snow and ice from windows, mirrors, lights, hood & roof.
3) Prepare and emergency travel kit ( blankets, jumper cables, shovel, flashlight, salt, flares & small first aid kit.
4) Always keep at least a half tank of gas in the tank.
5)SLOW DOWN and keep an extra distance between you and other drivers in case of a quick stop on ice is needed.
6) Use extra caution on bridges and ramps.
7) If you become stranded stay in your vehicle until help arrives.  Keep tailpipe clear of snow & keep window open a crack, run your vehcile every hour or so for a few minutes to stay warm and conserve fuel.

WINTER DRIVING IS ALMOST OVER ... but please be careful and safe.
